Remember when non-fashion people used to make fun of MK Olsen because she was dressing like a homeless person? And if you were anything like me you would also remember fancying that look a lot, trying to channel it but ending up looking extremely sloppy instead of grunge-cool. Well here we are, almost 5 years later, and Alexander Wang is giving us a second chance with the worn out (looking) clothes. With the deterioration theme preponderating over everything else on the pre-fall collection, we are facing a whole new aspect of menswear inspiration. Patchworks, burned-like textile hems, rips and moth holes are coming together to form a weirdly complete collection.
PS: The boots, as gorgeous and mouth-watering as they are, remind me A LOT of Zeynep Tosun’s boots from the F/W 13-14 collection. What do you think?
